Tiny Landscapes
Exhibited at Our Neon Foe 2023
My series of paintings, Tiny Landscapes, is created on off-cuts from a timber deck from a landscaping project. I work intuitively with materials on hand, embracing chance and randomness.
The work is inspired by the many beautiful places I have visited, exploring both their vastness and at the same time focusing in on the minute details and textures. Through this work I am interested piecing together unattainable fragments of places, both real and imagined -portraying quiet moments, a stillness, the moments in-between.
